"marce" playground

just to show you an idea of how bad the floodings were yesterday due to typhoon "marce", look at the pictures in today's newspaper. that jetskiing fellow isn't in some beach resort, he's in the vicinity of university of santo tomas in what i'd like to call españa de bay. of course, they had to suspend classes and work at government offices.

right now as i'm writing this entry, the rain is starting to pound against the earth again. good thing we already got home from visiting our relatives. it was my first time to actually drive the van myself outside this subdivision. exciting experience. i was praying it won't rain too hard. and it didn't, thankfully. just your average, non-threatening drizzle. driving on a steep upward road is already quite a challenge for me on manual transmission.
