The Banaue (pronounced "ba-NAH-way") Rice Terraces is a natural wonder and I'm proud to say, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Cordillera region of my native Philippines. My pal, Gingmaganda, mailed me this postcard: a beautiful reminder that I should really visit this place someday. When I visited the United Nations Headquarters in New York earlier this year, I saw the Philippines' gift to the UN which is "The Philippine Skyland" painting featuring these very same rice terraces.
What I really want to show you are the stamps she used, so here's the back of the postcard. It costs 13 pesos to mail a postcard from the Philippines to anywhere abroad, so she used two 7-peso stamps to cover the postage. They've released some new stamps featuring some of the famous tourist spots in our 7, 107 islands. What a trip that I have a Banaue postcard with a matching stamp! And below is the Boracay Beach stamp, showing you a world-class beach destination which I've been to. I hope they create more touristy stamps like this! Hear me out, Philpost!

Ang ganda ng stamp sa Pilipinas. Yung dito sa UAE boring heehee.

Happy Trails
Great postcard & I love the matching stamp!!
that looks like an interesting place to visit. Both the postcard and matching stamp look so lush and green.
What a beautiful postcard and stamp! How lucky you are to receive it.
I am real late getting out and about to everyone's blog this week. I've been out of town and have had little time to play. But I'm glad I stopped by today. Your postcard is lovely and so are the stamps.
I hope you and yours had a beautiful weekend.
How VERY fun.
I'm sorry I am coming by so late for Postcard Friendship Friday. As you probably know, our parents were involved in a roll-over accident on the freeway and are both now recovering, leaving little time for blogging. I had a few minutes just now, though, so here I am.
Happy PFF!
