after sampling some swedish meatballs at the restaurant within ikea, we decided to get ourselves two bags of such meatballs for home cooking.
guess what's for dinner, honey?
i present to you: swedish meatballs and veggies with cream sauce (gravy) and topped further with mysterious, blood-red lingonberry sauce. all from ikea's swedish food market (except for the veggies which can be bought frozen at any grocery store). it's the first time i've ever heard of/tried lingonberry sauce, made from lingonberries which are the wild (party animals? hehe) cousins of cranberries in the scandinavian forests.
the meatballs are oh-so-tasty and the sauce, divinely sweet. plus it's so easy to prepare. :)
