I Could Really Use A Wish Right Now

Santa's Mailbox Is Back At Macy's! With Ready-to-mail Postcards!

But I'm too old to be writing wishes for Santa. When you grow older, you find yourself wishing for things that don't necessarily fit in stockings or are gift-wrappable.You find yourself yearning for things that are intangible. There rises a thirst for something that a mere distributor water filter can't quench, not even with the purified water that springs forth from it.

So why did I keep this blank Santa postcard from Macy's anyway? Maybe because deep inside, I still believe in magic.

In other less depressing news, I am happy to share that we already set up our Christmas Tree even before Thanksgiving Day. Now we just need to decorate it. We'd like to celebrate Christmas more enthusiastically this year since last year was a blue one as we were in mourning. We had a tree last year, yes, but we didn't decorate it. It was bare, save for the Christmas cards nestled among the branches.

The smaller Christmas Tree we have down here at the basement is all decorated with ornaments and multi-colored string lights, then topped with a little red rattan star. This is the less formal, anything-goes Christmas Tree because it's smaller. It used to be a fiber-optic tree until its adaptor was chewed up by our now-deceased cat, hence the need to use string lights. It has all the odd, old and destination-themed ornaments I've collected from past travels. I want our house to be festive and filled with Christmas spirit again!

I know what you mean, I hardly wished for things as a child but now I find I'm constantly wishing/waiting for something to crop up... a house, a job, a car.... maybe I'm just an unsatified person. I hope you have a great thanksgiving this year :)
