I Feel Pretty!

Actually, it's my feet that made that declaration because they went from looking like this: (cheap nailpolish haphazardly self-applied)

To this!

pedi

My mom came into possession of a spa gift card so we treated ourselves to some pedi-pampering. They had us at the free cappuccino and sandwiches!

cappuccino

It was the first time I ever entered such a posh spa here in New Jersey which specializes in one thing: to prettify you!

As soon as my name was called, the nail technician led me to a shelf of Opi nail colors in every shade. My eyes were drawn to the dark red one, of course.

The recliner throne upon which you sit is also a massager, so you can definitely lapse into full relaxation mode and forget about work stress, whether it be working industrial hand wheels or being constantly behind the steering wheel.

warmwater

Your feet are prepped by immersing it in bubbly warm water to loosen the rough skin (which I have in abundance, especially on the heels). I was a little self-conscious about the hideous appearance of my feet, but the nail technician assured me not to worry. I bet they've seen worse! Haha. They also file your callouses and slather your feet and legs with a soothing scrub and lotion afterwards.

I emerged out of the spa with feet feeling light as a feather and with renewed confidence to wear flipflops and sandals! The pedicure cost $55, but it was worth every dollar!
