I was able to revisit the United Nations Headquarters in New York last Monday, this time with a lawyer friend. At this very same month last year, I visited the U.N. and dropped by their post office at the end of the tour to send U.N. postcards to friends. The U.N. Post Office in New York is located at the lower level where the souvenir shop and bookstore can also be found. Everything from mugs to fridge magnets to plush toys from UNICEF can be purchased there.
I didn't send anything that day, though.
9 vandalized my wall:
A post office and a shop, how could you resist.
How VERY interesting! I really enjoyed this post.
Happy PFF!
I'm just wondering what those two guys are talking about...lol.
Didn't send anything? That explains why the mailbox looks so forlorn.
When you send postcards from the UN post office, does it get a UN postmark?
How very special!
Happy PFF!
Oh... and I was expecting mail...;-)
Never visited the United Nations Headquarters yet...it is on my list of things to do... the older I get ...the longer the list :-o
I wasn't aware that the public can visit the UN building. Thanks for the tip.
