Yes, Virginia, Santa has his own mailbox at this main post office building in Newark, New Jersey. It was decorated with all things Christmas and some festive golden lighting. I wandered here recently to mail a few Christmas cards to friends abroad. I smiled at seeing this red mailbox with Santa's face painted on it. I wondered how many kids still mail their letters to Santa, bearing their most fervent Christmas wishes.
Did you know that letters addressed to "North Pole" to Santa actually get sent to North Pole, Alaska? It's the home of the world-famous Santa Claus House. Take note, Virginia, Santa's zip code happens to be 99705--and if you visit the Santa Claus House, you can mail a postcard from there bearing the postmark "North Pole, AK!" You better not pout, and this is the big reason why!
To ensure that your child's letter to Santa does not get misdelivered by the reindeer, here is Santa's accurate address:
Santa Claus House, 101 St. Nicholas Drive, North Pole, AK 99705 (USA).

Ho-ho-holy mail!
17 vandalized my wall:
i really should write Santa this year. i am wishing for a few things...lol.
I saw this movie (I am not sure of the title, but I think it is "Santa Baby") that featured Santa's house. He got sickly there and was temporarily replaced by his daughter. =)
I have a friend who lives in North Pole. He is not the Postmaster, nor is he Santa Claus!
This is an inspirational and fun post! I need to write Saint Nick this year too! I need a new toaster:)
What a festive mailbox! I love it. I'm going to check out the site for the letters now.
I love reading those kids' cards. I wonder if they ever answer any?
I've spent ages reading all those letters to Santa. They are so great! Love the letterbox too. I saw one just the other day, but I can't think where. It was very ordinary in comparison.
That's a cute mailbox. I wonder whether they have them other places too.
I'm happy to see there is a special mailbox for all the mail Santa gets. It brings to mind the scene in Miracle on 34th Street when Kris Kringle was on trial. To prove that he was a real character, they brought in bags and bags of mail addresses to him from boys and girls all over the country. I need to watch that movie again.
I not really a kid anymore... but I still mail my letter to Santa :-)
WHAT FUN... Santas own mail box! I be the kids in that town really get excited about writing a letter! TFS
Maybe I should write a letter to Santa this year, too. I would ask for a job! Happy PFF!
I don't think I've ever seen a more cheerful mailbox! :) And that's so sweet that children's letters to the north pole do indeed reach a destination ^_^ I'm tempted to a send a letter myself!
i have something for that mailbox! LOL
that was fun. hmmm what should i wish for this christmas? world peace maybe...
That's a very festive mailbox! For sure, most of those letters to Santa have requests for toys - if I was a kid myself, I'd do the same.
this is great! my daughter recently wrote a letter to santa, and it's still in my bag! *wink*
