summer just started here in the states, and that means more people out in the sunlight, perhaps on their bikes (and more biker dudes on the asphalt), especially kids. i live close to a lake where people do this, but i must confess that i have never been on a bike in all my years of residence here in jersey! it's such a shame, i know. the mountain bike we own is much too high for my petite height; my feet can barely reach the pedals. and here, you can't just ride a bike without wearing a helmet.
the last time i've ever been on a bike was at the cultural center of the philippines (CCP) in manila, where you can rent any type of bicycle you want and ride along or close to manila bay. that was many years ago!
i remember the first time i learned how to ride a bike as a child...it's one of the "rites of passage" of growing up. biking is now considered not just a healthy activity (which i should be doing!), but also eco-friendly!
this is a charming bicycle postcard i received through postcrossing from the netherlands. the sender told me she chose this card to combine my being from the "garden state" and one of the famous dutch icons: the bike, hence this flower-laden bicycle! i do love flowers! i easily fell in love with this postcard, so it's one of my favorite postcards in my collection.
i want to ride my bicycle!

What a great image! Although it makes me want to sneeze right now with all the pollen we have here in Ohio. Happy PFF!
That is a cute bike... I guess it is not used a lot...like your mountain bike at home ! ;-)
I like bicycle postcards too. It looks so cute with the flowers.
This is a beautiful postcard. It's unique. I wish that people around the world just use bike as the means of transportation especially in summer.
the postcard is gorgeous!
and the only reason i am actually cycling is because of the dutch husband. hihi
I want to hop on this bike! I think that it's hard to bike in the States too! I really will only go if I know that there is an ice cream parlor at the end of my journey. I'm a bit of a wimp:) My son will take 50 kilometer biking tours with his Father and he's only 9. That amazes me! But I'm secretly glad that they do that by themselves so that I have a chance to just relax at home and snuggle up with a good book or postcard:) Happy PFF!
pinoy ka rin pala, that's good to know.
lovely postcard! I wouldn't mind riding this bicycle :D
Happy PFF!

Wonderful card! I suppose it's impractical, but I'd love to be able to ride a bike decorated like that. :) Full of the joys of spring - or summer.
This is just fabulous! Love the bike with all the pretties for spring!

Wonderful card and memories .. summer is almost here!
Pretty card, have recently been referred to your postcard party group and delighted to see all the lovely images everyone is sharing.
Learning how to ride a bike was scary but it was more hair-raising to watch my kids learn!
Oooh - scraped knees on ashphalt - not fun!
