i was surprised to get this terribly tattered envelope today which contained tourist brochures for croatia. i have only one snail mail friend (penpal!) from croatia--a lawyer-to-be who works in zagreb, so i knew right away it's from her despite the absence of a return address--that's probably why the postal workers ripped the parcel open.i hope we're still friends when i get to visit croatia someday, so miss iggy and i have an instant tourguide. haha. if you're reading this, vesna, thank you!

what a coincidence! i'll be in croatia this summer hiking through the plitvice lakes national park before taking the ferry to the rab island. i'll let you know if i made it alive.
