made pinakbet for dinner tonight. the vegetable ingredients were bought at the novaliches market which me and my sister went all the way to just to see how much the stuff there costs, in the hope that it costs less than buying at the nearby talipapa. vegetable-wise--we were disappointed. and we had to endure the blazing afternoon heat, pollution and the looooong traffic, just to discover that a bundle of stringbeans costs ten pesos. the pork chops and fish were quite cheap though, at least that's our consolation.
