after our exam today, my friends and i had lunch at this small place called ihaw-one at philcoa where we tried their chicken and pork sisig with garlic rice. yum. ton finally brought the uraro she promised me from laguna, which became my quick breakfast this morning at school right before exams.

we purposefully went to the UP film center to catch the french film amelie sponsored by the college of industrial engineering. we actually got there early, and lucky for us, we got to buy discounted tickets from one of the students. it was supposed to be P40, but we got em for only P30.

the movie was tres funny! and kooky! amelie is this waitress who decided one day to be a "do-gooder" (is there such a word?) to everyone around her, but is too much of a coward when it comes to meeting the object of her affection. in the end though, she mustered enough courage to finally meet her man face to face.

it was a little disorienting at first to listen to french conversation, me having gotten used to chinese/japanese/korean movies. hehe.

select quotes from the film:
*a woman without love is like a wilting flower without the sun.
*love is like the tour de france. catch it while you can.
*love is a natural beautician.
*Without you, today's emotions would be the scurf of yesterday's.
*It's better to help people than garden gnomes.
