i got this text message from a friend which warned about going to the malls because of these terrorist attack threats in manila within 72 hours. but then, my sister and i still went to sm fairview (and indeed, we saw a couple of policemen outside the malls) where we bought this belated birthday gift for our little cousin, while she bought this portable cotton candy maker for P500. the price is already 50% off...they have a lot of cool toys on sale at toy kingdom. they even have new mashimaro stuffed toys on display...and the meowchi robot cat i always wanted is also 50% off.

we tried the cotton candy maker toy tonight. it spins table sugar for 30 seconds so you can have "bite-sized" cotton candy. we think fine sugar is more appropriate, since ordinary sugar can't be ground fast enough to make the feathery cotton candy.
