yes, virginia, there really is a santa claus--even in the month of june.
it has been a very surreal day, so many unexpected things happening. was in a sleepy stupor that i wanted to pinch myself to know if all this was for real. was quite dumbfounded and at an utter loss for words too.

one of my favorite comicbook artists from my childhood, larry alcala, just died today. he drew bingbambung from funny komiks and all those "slice of life" drawings which always doubled as a sort of "where's waldo" game because you were supposed to find his face amongst the doodles. i developed a technique on how to find him...it's usually in the parts where there are lots of stuff, like a crowd of people or a pile of garbage. bless his soul...
