i was supposed to go with charlynn, hennie, janet & voltaire to enchanted kingdom yesterday, but things didn't work out at the last minute here at home. i did get a new haircut though, much cheaper and with more favorable results than the one i had the other day. the first one didn't look like i actually had a significant amount of hair snipped off my head. so i wasted a good 110 pesos.

just got back this morning from a road trip all the way to the basilica of our lady of piat in cagayan! ton, me & rizza took a bus last tuesday night & for 12 gruelling hours endured the ride which felt like a flight with turbulence the whole way through! we arrived at 9am march 28th in piat, got to ride a ferrybarge by the chico river for free & boarded the 4pm bus for manila. whew! we arrived at manila at 6am today. our neck & back ached from the ride! i missed my bed! brought home some religious items for souvenirs. we really, really made it on our own! heehee.

i am prone to getting my tongue singed everytime i cook something, whenever i taste it. the burning feeling usually lasts until the next day. it's like drinking hot chocolate when you can't wait for it to cool down.

today tonton, rizza, anie & me visited czar in his home in binangonan to see how he's doing after his biopsies. before that, ton's bag got slashed by some thief while we were in the quiapo-bound jeepney. this thief was unsuccessful in his motive. good thing ton's check & celfone were on the other side of her bag. czar looks fine now...and we even got to meet his mom.

well..it's almost 2am...so TECHNICALLY, yesterday, charlynn brought a pack of "heartbeat" strawberry-flavored candies. it was such a hit among us because the candies were heart-shaped & the wrappers have sappy love sayings written on the inside. things like..."true love turns winter into spring"..."love makes loneliness a thing of the past." the most remarkable for us all was "the bigger they come, the harder they fall". i suspect these candies are really teaching us physics....and meteorology. hehe. by 7pm, all the candies were gone.

i am having these mild nightmares. not the sort where zombies chase you...but more like of a deceased grandfather and...last night...having my ex-boyfriend's baby. brrrr....

there is this place right across the p.noval gate of ust where the predecessor of today's pearl shakes is sold. they're chocolate shakes. i never knew this place existed until tonight. anie says before there were zagu & orbitz, people actually lined up to buy these chocolate-based shakes. my cup of chocolate banana cost me 20 pesos. not bad...in fact, i'd like to try choco oreo next time.

butter is a magical cooking ingredient. hmmm..yummy mushroom soup.

i still suck at webdesign. i can't even figure out how to make this window pop open on its own.

my friends & i are forming our own sorority. we used to think of naming ourselves "charlynn's angels". we just found out we can be carebears. i'm frustrated that i can't find a wavefile of the carebears theme that i can download instead of just listening to it online.
