Writings on the Wall

yesterday i was introduced to this guy named jun. he wanted us to eat at this noodle house for merienda. so lacking a formal introduction by either smiley or rizza, who hastily told him my name was conell, jun asked me "con, pancit tayo!"--and that elicited giggles from the two. bambie, a friend from college i haven't seen in a while, joined us too. i discovered how jun likes to joke around smiley by saying that he's mestizo and that smiley had way dark skin. of course, smiley's physical features scream that he's chinese. smiley would fight back by saying jun looked more like an arab than a mestizo. i didn't get to finish my plate of pancit...it was much too filling.
