Writings on the Wall

i'm home alone, and some guy suddenly rang the doorbell and told me he was sent by the fire protection bureau to inspect lpg tanks if they're in danger of leaking out. i was a little suspicious about the whole thing. he said he wanted to educate me on the proper installation for free, he even showed his ID. well, IDs can be so easily doctored, y'know. i repeatedly declined from his offer, as it required having him inside the house. he's probably part of some syndicate whose intricate modus operandi is to get the person to show him around the house in the context of a fire protection inspection. well he aint fooling me! the funny thing about it was when he did leave...he didn't go to the next house up front or the one before ours....he's probably picking the houses where the owners are away! well..this is one smart maid he dealt with! muahaha...now i'm off to do the laundry...
